Terms of service

Amkala is a private space for reflecting on your relationships, with an AI coach that remembers what you tell it. By using it you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.

Amkala is not therapy, not medical or mental-health treatment, and not a crisis service. The coach is an AI, not a licensed professional, and nothing it says is professional advice. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.

If a message suggests a serious risk of harm, Amkala will respond with crisis resources rather than ordinary coaching, and will alert a human. This is a safety feature and it works regardless of your other settings.

• You must be 18 or older to use Amkala.
• Access is currently invitation-only; being on the waitlist doesn't guarantee access.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account — don't share it.
• One account per person.

Talking about the people in your life is the entire point of Amkala, so you will inevitably tell it things about people who never agreed to that. Please be thoughtful about it: share what you need to work through your own relationships, not other people’s private information for its own sake. You remain responsible for what you choose to write.

Please don’t use Amkala to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm anyone, including yourself.
• Break the law, or help someone else do so.
• Attempt to extract, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service or other users' data.
• Automate access or resell what the service produces.

We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things.

The coach’s replies are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, incomplete, or poorly judged, and they should not be treated as fact or as professional guidance. Decisions about your relationships remain yours.

What you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you — storing your messages, sending them to a model to generate a reply, and showing them back to you. We don’t claim ownership and we don’t use your conversations to train our own models.

If you use Amkala over SMS, you agree to receive coaching replies, reminders and check-ins you asked for at the number you gave us. Message frequency varies with your use. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop at any time and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How your number and opt-in are handled is in the privacy policy.

Amkala is early software offered as-is, without warranties. It may be unavailable, lose functionality, or change. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Amkala after that means you accept the new terms.

You can stop using Amkala and ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy policy for exactly what deletion removes and how long it takes. We may end access if these terms are broken.
